A computational node utilizing single-board computer architecture, integrated with tactile input peripherals. Upon manual actuation of momentary contact switches, a custom-written software daemon intercepts the GPIO signal interrupts and triggers the digital-to-analog conversion subsystem to generate specified audio waveforms through the connected output transducer, creating a direct correlation between mechanical depression of the input device and auditory feedback.

(I hooked a raspberry pi up to some arcade buttons and made them make noise when you press them)
